On November the 7th of 2017, the IMEYMAT by means of its Director, Dr. F. M. Morales, collaborated with the “Coffee with Science” initiative.

Coffee with Science is an activity in which an Andalusian scientist sits down with a small group of guests to chat around a round table. The attendees are students during the morning or general public in the afternoon. During the meeting, the expert explained his scientific activity, how is his day to day or even his hobbies, talking with the participants in a relaxed and close environment.

In this edition, the attendants could enjoy a healthy breakfast accompanied by a friendly approach to the World of Microscopy trying to put the audience in context about the potential and the technological framework associated nowadays to the fields of optical microscopy and electron microscopy.

In the second part of this activity, in collaboration with the SC-ICYT staff, the participants were able to enjoy a guided tour through the facilities and big scientific equipments available at the University of Cadiz.

The activity culminated with a group picture at the entrance of the Faculty of Sciences.
