Inaugural ceremony of the master’s degree in Nanoscience and Materials Technology

Yesterday, November 4, 2019, took place from 15:30, the inauguration of the new master in Nanoscience and Technology of materials, promoted by IMEYMAT and ICTS-ELECMI. This master will be taught mostly by members of the institute and will have a structure of three modules: basic principles, competencies for the company, external internships (with five field trips to industrial plants and dual training experience with Titania) and three pathways of specialization, plus a final master’s thesis of 22 credits.

The rector of the University of Cadiz, Francisco Piniella, together with the president of the Social Council of the UCA, Prudencio Escamilla, the dean of the Faculty of Sciences, José Manuel Gómez, the coordinator of the master, José María Rodríguez-Izquierdo, and the vice-rector of Planning, Quality and Evaluation, Milagrosa Casimiro-Sorigue, presided over the inaugural ceremony of the master’s degree in Nanoscience and Materials Technology in the Faculty of Sciences at the Puerto Real Campus.

After a brief speech by the director of IMEYMAT, Francisco Miguel Morales, and the representative of ICTS-ELECMI at the University of Cadiz, Jose Juan Calvino, on the synergies between the entities and the master, the researcher of the Catalan Institute of Nanosciences and Nanotechnology (ICN2), Laura M. Lechuga, gave the inaugural lecture. Subsequently, representatives of different companies (Acerinox, Airbus, Navantia, Alestis and Titania) participating in this master participated in a round table.
