Instituto Universitario de Investigación en Microscopía Electrónica y Materiales IMEYMAT
On 5 November, IMEYMAT, led by Francisco Miguel Morales and Antonio Santos, collaborated with the “Cafe con Ciencias” initiative.
“Café con Ciencias” is an activity in which an Andalusian scientist sits with a small group of guests around a table. The attendees are students in the morning and the general public in the afternoon. During the meeting, the expert explains his scientific activity, how his day-to-day life is or his hobbies, conversing with the participants in a relaxed and close environment.
In this edition, we enjoyed a healthy breakfast accompanied by a pleasant approach to the World of Microscopy trying to put in context the attendees on the capacity and technological framework available today in the fields of optical microscopy and electron microscopy, preceded by a short presentation of the institute IMEYMAT.
In the second part of the activity, with the collaboration of the SC-ICYT staff, the attendees were able to enjoy a guided tour of the facilities and scientific equipment available at the University of Cadiz.
The activity culminated with a group photo at the doors of the Faculty of Sciences.
