For IMEYMAT scientific research and development is as important as the divulgation  of the advances that occur in its labs  and in science.

NANOPODCAST arises as an initiative to increase the divulgation scope of  IMEYMAT. This online audio format was chosen due to its boom and popularity in recent times, thus updating the Institute’s communication channels. The transferability of the podcast format facilitates the main reason for the creation of NANOPODCAST, to bring science closer to ordinary people, while at the same time it also makes IMEYMAT its members and the work they carry out known.

The structure of NANOPODCAST is made up of programs that approach various scientific topics related to the science of electron microscopy, materials science, operation and the work of the research staff of the Institute.

For the realization of the podcast, Francisco Miguel Morales as a producer, with the collaboration of Manuel Figueroa and Raquel González as the host of the program, in addition to contributing the original idea.

In each of the programs that are carried out, an IMEYMAT researcher will be interviewed who will deal with a scientific topic while maintaining rigour, but leaning on examples and a more colloquial language for the better understanding of the public whom it goes.

It is intended to interview different scientific profiles, giving the research staff the opportunity to talk about their work area, current and past projects, or even reconciliation with of research work with teaching, thus obtaining a global vision about the Institute and science in the university environment.  The production of special programs related to specific scientific events and /or activities is also foreseen, in the same way, that  NANOPODCAST is open to specific collaboration with others institutes.
